We don't want anonymity on our server because it's being used to dodge bans, sorry.

you can disable anonymity only for the accounts that got banned and/or new accounts, accounts that didn't get banned could be allowed to use anonymity, ban dodgers can't steal other user's accounts, they can only rename or make new ones

and autohosts have their own !banips system that would prevent the banned player from playing in game, and the battle itself can't be abused because of flood protections.

so if you are actually worried about #main and other such channels, you can prevent new account from posting anywhere except #newbies, real newbies don't need to post anywhere else anyways

that's just a few of the viable options, there is many more that I didn't think of yet

last but not least, there is also the option of using a private system where new users need to be invited to spring by other users so that if someone invites someone that gets banned, the inviter also gets banned, but since this option is less viable it could be used on a channel basis instead of global, make #main an invite-only channel on this principle but allow new account still, as long as new accounts are not allowed to post in #main without invitation creating a new account does not really help you dodge bans, and since autohosts are protected with rank limits, the banned player can only be in the battle itself (with the flood protections that already in place) and the moment the battle starts, the !banips kicks in and the player is auto removed from the game.

also consider, why because of a few spam nubs the rest of the players need to be punished for something they are innocent ?

There are other ways of anonymity. Consider autoproxysmurfing. Works for the 5 of us who use it.

Discussing hacking or circumventing moderation measures here is unwise.
