Spring RTS Engine

When ever start a game I just get a black screen with the words connecting to server for 45 seconds and then it boots me back to the lobby. Please help

I'm experiencing the exact same problem.

Configure your firewall to let Spring through.

I have this problem currently. I have ports forwarded properly and firewall disabled. I have avast, but I tried connecting to server with it off, no luck. PortChecker shows that the ports are open.

What is the problem here?

what exactly are you trying?
are you hosing, or are you trying to join an online game?

this problem should only happen if you are in a different network then the host, and the host is not accessible from your network (eg, the network of the host has the firewall/router not configured correctly). make sure to check for UDP, not TCP, as this is what spring uses.

We were trying to play a game with my friends, 3 could connect to host but I and a buddy of mine couldn't. I opened both TCP and UDP ports.
Just cannot connect, drops after 45 seconds.

You can always check the relayhost option when hosting, its very reliable.
