Not that I'm terribly surprised, but it wouldn't run on my computer... couldn't even get past the opening AMD logo...

Seems to run fine but....already the dialogues and plot are completely retarded...unit control?not really..
Shit game incoming IMO.

I think the plot isn't to be bothered with in the demo, there's only two missions, its like reading page 4 and page 60 of a novel and not bothering inbetween

Customformations?
tbh this game was doomed from the point they decided not to replace Chris Taylor with me. tbh.

Perhaps.I hope your right but I think its an indication of the fail to come.
If they allow themselves to release a demo with such retarded dialogue....what can i say..

It's like the first one except somehow the graphics are slightly worse, the economy is even less streamlined and they have a research system instead of tech (so I'm told).
I'm always going to compare it to what Spring can do and it's always going to lose. When you get to writing widgets Spring's interface is so good, even the base functionality like area reclaim is better than what supcom has.

Ressources dont mean a lot in this game.
Building is slow, units are slow (the ships), units seem to react with a delay when I send them somewhere.

I think I'd prefer research to teching.

Upgrading units in the field is lame though

Going through the tutorial was an interesting look at what may need to be done for CA.

Not only that. Instant upgrades that only cost a resource generated from combat (and research buildings). "Oshit Air, better upgrade my tank swarm with AA"
but not supcom1 good. rather cunc generals good
I preferred generals.

It's a campaign. If units are building slow create more factories.

Hmm ugrade surprises..also at least in the campaign it seems to be impossible to know how upgraded your opponents stuff are..
Research is unscoutable? if it really is so its gonna be weird..

I find it weird that now research is effectively a 3rd resource, spamming research buildings for max res earlier
The mini experimentals are strange, a hyper capacity transport with weapons? A flying air factory with missiles?
Some stuff is strange too, the commander can 'husk' making it uber hard to kill but immobilizing it too. Not sure but there appears to be no extractor upgrading, instead you just build them and research the global upgrades
Units automatically move into formations too, and when you zoom out you get little circles with numbers, which select entire formations, and theyre automatically setup based on unit selections, its quite useful
The maps are much more immersive too, they continue past the playable edges, and theyre much more 3d than past RTS games, they have depth
Transports don't pick up units anymore either, theyre a lot faster, its like they only have to move under the transport then they're beamed into it in a flash of light
Factories have per building upgrades as well, you can build a radar installation on an aircraft plant, or add a shield, you can even upgrade bombers to act as torpedo bombers too dual usage
You also have units which have to be researched to be unlocked.
Considering the demo only plays as UEF in two missions though... I only got to saw the Experimental Air gantry in the 2 missions..

I prefer the cool transports that have units shooting from them during flight and than getting unhooked as the transport lands.
