Unplayable because of spikes in draw-world (nm, new drivers)

I have an intel onboard (3100, I think - something in the G33 family) - crappy, I know.

But either way, it always worked at low settings for Spring. The new version, however, kills it. I get smooth performance interrupted by horrible spikes in draw-world even at the absolute lowest settings. The game has become completely unplayable, and no amount of fiddling in SpringSettings will fix it. It's a shame, since this onboard actually seems to perform better than the ATI 9600 I had in my old machine.

Is there any option beyond "get a new video card"?

edit: got latest video drivers from an obscure page on Intel's site. Seems to have fixed the problem. Hopefully for good.

I get the same problem, randomly.

The game runs at 3-5 fps on my $200 ATi HD 4870 card. :cry:

Help would be nice.

i have same problem.

huge CPU usage. game is much slower since .81.
map scrolling lags.
(+ can't watch replays)

i rebooted my PC as it said here http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21991
it becomes faster, but my GUI was fukked. lolUI disappeared.
i switched on lolUI played another game and i had lags again.

this problem looks for me similar to:

i am not sure LuaUI make this lags.
i also noticed i have different list of widgets (on F11) on different games/servers. when UI fails i had RED* widgets on F11 screen.

i think LuUI's is messed up on every update. for previous updates i had some minor changes of UI.

btw, my linux Spring is ok on FPS/CPU. it had 1 update.
for linux machine alt+B gives:
UI - 60%
world - 20%

(for windows) where i have lags alt+B:
game with 1 bot shows :
UI - 50%
world - 50%
minimap - 30%

specing DSD 7v7:
UI - 70%
world - 15%
minimap -10-40%

(btw, alt+B looks different for linux and windows machine. windows had some additional spherical draws around units)
