Lups is broken

Lups is broken, and in its failure, it takes down SyncAction with it. Please fix, workaround, gut out, or make fail gracefully, because I need AddSyncAction to be left in working order.

[ 0] LUPS: airjet particle class: shader error: ERROR: 0:17: '*' : wrong operand types no operation '*' exists that takes a left-hand operand of type 'const int' and a right operand of type 'uniform float' (or there is no acceptable conversion)
ERROR: 0:17: 'assign' : cannot convert from 'const int' to 'float'
ERROR: 2 compilation errors. No code generated.
Unless that's unrelated and it's by accident that SyncAction started working after I removed lups.

Are you running on ATI? It apparently doesn't support const, remove it from the shader and cross your fingers. Or maybe an explicit cast, or maybe nothing will fix it.

But Lups should not crash if it can't load a shader.

It doesn't.

Also BA uses a very very old LUPS version.

Well, I'm not looking to fix Lups myself, just ranting about my discontent for it not only failed, but caused a silent failure in another gadget. I know the people who developped Lups are way better that me, so I hope they can find a way to either fix, or make it disable self cleanly if it can't work on some hardware.

Then make that a thread about getting the attention of TheFatController so that he takes the required steps.

Thanks to you we even have planned him a course of action: Update the Lups in BA.
