Hey I'm new to Spring. I set up Spring on my vista computer after a little work but now I'm trying to set it up on my Ubuntu Linux laptop. I have version 9.10 of Ubuntu and installed spring using Ubuntu Software Center. The problem I'm having is finding the mods folder to put the BA 7.04 Mod in. Same for the map.

Thank you for helping.

In your home folder:
.spring/mods
.spring/maps

I use Downthemall, everything I download goes directly where I want to, maps to map folder, mods to mod folder, other files to home-folder. Just try the Downthemall addon for firefox.

Ok I had read about the .spring/mods folder in home but in my home folder there is no such folder as home/.spring/mods or home/.spring/maps is it ok to just create them :?:

I'm going to reinstall it and see if they are there. Thanks for the help so far. :-)

.spring is a hidden folder (you can type it manually in address bar if you don't have show hidden files" enabled), and should be created after spring first started. If its not there, its safe to create it by hand.

This is not windows, reinstalling won't make any difference.

yes, you can savely create mod and map folder respectively.
