Number of crashes

This latest version of Spring is not very stable from my point of view (not nearly as good as 0.60/0.61), but I've heard others say different, so I'm curious if it's just a few of us with issues with this build.

Well, its not that clear cut...
The BASIC version of 0.62 has never crashed on me, but as there are more mods/ect out for 0.62 as for those before, there are crashes with those.

0.62 never crashed for me :)
Surely mod, or AI can crash, but that's the mod/ai fault.

So far I've had ZERO crashes with 0.62b1. But then again, I have no mod installed whatsoever.

All of my crashes are from the JCAI or mods.

OK well I'm glad that you guys are having a better time of it! Almost all of my crashed games are games with no mods at all. I've found it crashes more often on maps where you have units close to the edge. Never had a crash on small divide, even though I probably play that map more than any other.
I guess I'll start mailing crash reports in if most people aren't getting crashes in the first place (normally I don't bother sending in crashes).
A lot of games I play, the players drop out one by one until eventually either the host crashes or I do, so I know it's not just me, but I guess it's mainly stable for other folks, which is good to know.
I'd think that maybe it's related to me playing over a dialup link, except that it also crashes in Random Enemies sometimes.
Thanks for the feedback anyway =)
Cheers

my only crash (notice the singular noun) was in a game of WD, and that was purely an issue within the mod.

I had increasing instability problems with each new relatively stable version.
Had run registry cleaners etc which would help but Finally had to bight the bullet and do a complete fresh install of XP and load all latest drivers.
Now it is more stable than ever before. Doh, Cross figures did I just jinx myself, LOL.
So far this is the most stable and I have played the longest games ever.

This version is definitely the most stable for me. It only crashes when I'm feeling experimental, either with trying random new things internally or when trying mods which haven't been totally crash-proofed.

I've been having some bad crashes but that could be the AI.
