You know, you could just ask or read descriptions. I mean, it is kind of in the names if you think about it.

The Dragon's Eye is simple a device that does nothing except allow you to see whatever's in its LOS. It may seem a bit useless at first but if you learn to use it right, it can help a fair bit. It cloaks so the enemy can't really see it unless you E stall or unless they bump into it me thinks...

The Anemone launches Depth Charges which are basically just projectiles which fire into the sea and kill boats, subs and the like.

The Sneaky Pete is a bit like Peet himself. It's hard to spot, protects everything around it and when he does appear, it annoys a lot of people.
It's basically a radar jammer which can cloak. It prevents the enemy radar from detecting you.

The Arm Juno is pretty obsolete. Only noobs build them now and that's for a few reasons.
Firstly, they cost a damn lot. Secondly, they are pretty much an all in one unit which combines a radar jammer and mine clearer. You're better off just making the separate units.
They fire what appears to be a nasty rocket but really it only does a a few HP of damage. To most units, it will only damage them by 1 single HP. However, they have no range and so can be quite useful for killing say enemy radars. But their main purpose is to be fired into a minefield to clear out the mines. They suck, don't build them. Ever.
Use scouts for clearing mines.

The Juno does have a lot of strategic value. It allows you to kill any enemy radar, radar jammer, and any mines within a fairly large radius. This means that it can rip huge holes in minefields and reveal areas that are hidden by radar jammers. It costs around 600 metal(the missiles cost a little too) and could potentially make or break an offensive if you use it well. Only shallow players write off the Juno as absolutely useless.

Oh, and it doesn't jam radar like the previous post implies, it kills radar jammers(along with any mines and radar towers in the blast radius) with it's missiles.

Even if you ignore it for the early-game, it's useful in late-game when LRPC bombardment is important - you can use it to clear out the jammers and give your LRPCs radar targets.

Ah ok, I just thought by the name that it acted as a radar jammer.

Either way, it's still pretty useless and only noobs build it.

It is pretty useless because noobs don't build mines or radar jammers.

And if they do, you just spam scouts.

Btw, Juno has lately become quite useful on Throne FFA, because alot of people have been building big ass minefields on the roads.

Theres a lot of cases where juno is much better at clearing mines than scout spam.

Good for you. I can think of none.

Do not trouble us with your inadequacies.

I came up with a new strategy. Juno spam. Pretty much win every game. It even works in 1v1! beats flash with homing nuclear missiles of win!

You, sir, have failed at math. Mines always make cost. The juno change was badly needed. Its just that noobs these days dont make mines in the kind of numbers needed (perhaps because the juno counters so easily).

The e drain isnt high either, using solar to power them, it adds 10 metal cost to the heavy mine (but remember the e doesnt die when the mine does) and 3.6 metal cost to the light mine.

no juno actual kill scouts with impulse by launching them into tartarus (bottomless pit of greek mithologies)

I'm talking about mine clearance. Mine costs don't even come into this... Spamming 5-10 scouts to clear a few mines is better than making a Juno.

If there is just a few mines then yes scouts are better. But against bigger minefields, especially when theres some other defense too to kill scouts, juno can be good. And with juno you can be sure theres no mines left in that area. And really late game, making a juno is pretty insignificant investment compared to having your labs/nanos waste time on jeffies instead of faster building units, and jeffies take more micro time too.

Big minefields are really rare though, and theres other options to clear mines nicely than those 2 - big aoe units like fatboy or the minebuilders minesweep attack.

Though heavy mines dont really make cost vs a jeffy. If it takes several jeffies though, it can be good investment.

well i fine juno more effective since you can use it to cause more damage to your enemies. Unless your enemies are stupid and unskilled, which i guess makes up most of the ba community, where scouts would be better.

Making mines is a big investment of time.
Time micro, time to see where you already have them, time to find where your god damn miner is...etc
