According to the model, there's a 3rd turret, so I was thinking, maybe add the Can's laser to it for close range?
It wouldn't make that much difference but I reckon it'd be best to add it in.
Thoughts?

Didnt the OTA DDM have 3 types of lasers? (duh, thats why there is a third laser turret in the model XD ) One more is fine with me :)

2 green lasers because one turret has to guns (sumo weapon), but it has 3 turrets

im not sure, but i think the 3rd laser of the ddm was a llt for short range at OTA. btw i asked to add the llt in the old forum

I looked into DDM's FBI few days ago (unrelated to it's weapons or this topic). I notticed it had too big footprint, so I reduced it from 5x5 to 4x4 and it now fits perfectly.
Ragarding it's weapons it has: HLT, Floating HLT (100 more range than HLT) and the DDM beam. One of it's HLTs didn't fire as it should (aiming script was borked) and it's collision volume was off the scale big. Fixed both issues (XTA 9.642b) and DDM is now better than ever.

change one of the HLT to a weapon with identical DPS, 2x the RoF and red projectiles so it looks more like the OTA one imo

Agree.
Haven't played OTA for such a long game that I get an DDM (because it crashes), but I will try to play and find out, because my memory can fail.
Edit: so the DDM has one blue anni laser, one green hlt laser and one red llt. Colours are that way at least.

I see you guys haven't played TA in a long time.
Original DDM has: DDM blue laser (2/3 range and damage of Annihilator, but fires slightly faster and consumes less E/shoot), Gaat Gun HLT, CORE LLT
If I would use the described weapons (replace FLHT with LLT and use a 2/3 anni beam), DDM would get a substantial nerf.
I could colour one of the HLTs red though, but that would requite adding a new weapon just for the sake of it's colour, which is kinda stupid.

Well one good solution then is to just do nothing :)
OTA DDM is much worse than Anni, so I don't think we wanna follow that.

i agree with jools on this.
Still i can see babbles point, comparing arm and core equivalents, both are diferent.
Maybe consider altering another type of unit
