I need help with 2 issue's. First one is the lobby windows just freaked on me and now i cannot get this fixed, i tried to reinstall it but did'nt work. Is there something in the registy i need to delete to fix this?
"It is SpringLobby 0.35"
Second is Balanced annihilation crashes on a lan game of 2 players about 1 hour to 1.5 into the game. What could cause this? Can a map cause it to crash? we have played it 4 times and crashes a hour into it.

Also forgot to say now Spring Lobby will not exit, it hangs and has to be killed though task manager.

Ok i just fixed that window issue, I just deleted the files in Application Data folder. However the Balanced annihilation crash is unsolved.

Is it only BA that crashes? Try another mod see if you get same error.
Also, post your specs. What type of processor have you g- oh wait, nvm. You typed them in wrong field.

About "1-1.5" hours into the game is a lot longer on average how most games last so Spring isn't designed with that in mind. Bare in mind, the more stuff there is on the map, the more work your PC has to do and the more likely you are to crash. If you just leave a game of Spring open for 1-1.5 hours without doing anything and it still crashes, then you've got a problem.

well ...
spring is not as well tested for games this long, but it surely should not crash just cause the game lasts longer.
spring has a log file (infolog.txt), which can be found in the root of where you installed spring. it gets rewritten for each game. please post it as an attached file on your forum post, or through pastebin(.com). i guess you don't have the infolog of the crashing game anymore.. but now you know for the future. without that, we can not possibly help you, or fix the bug, if it is one.

BA is one of the most badly optimized mods in spring. As a result, in extremely long games where shittons of units are out and everyone is porcing, it's much more prone to a crash if your system can't handle it.
And before you say your cpu is uber... Pathfinding eats cpus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, mid-afternoon meal, dinner, and partytime.

Why do you say it's badly optimized? What exactly do you mean?

Evolution RTS is one of the most badly optimized mods in spring. As a result, in extremely long games where shittons of units are out and everyone is porcing, it's much more prone to a crash if your system can't handle it.
It's easy to throw baseless statements out there. How about providing something to back it up?

please, dont get offtopic.
a programm should never crash, if it is well written, no matter how big the load is.. it hsould just get slower. -> it is most likely a bug.

Surely if a program demanded heavy loads from the components they would eventually get too hot and force a crash?

parts overheating cause mostly three things:
1) machine shutdown
2) major performance downgrade
3) BSOD or equivalent
game crashing but system remaining stable is a game (or gfx driver) bug.

Download "furmark", run it for a few minutes. If your computer shuts down, your GPU is having a problem.
If not, then download "orthos". Run it for a few minutes. If your computer shuts down, your CPU, RAM, or motherboard may have problems. Or you might just be overheating.
If none of the above cause your computer to crash, it's a problem with Spring or the mod you're running. BA is unlikely to be causing problems, if it was, there would probably be more bug reports.

I know my cpu is not uber, it was when i got it late 2005. Anyway The game managed to hold out for 6 hours. I gonna guess the last map made it crash early.

Ran it for 14min10sec no errors. I'm quite sure the hardware is fine.

Hmm, lets start with particle count and default explosions, old crappy wasteful unit scripts? Multiply these by 100 and you have some serious performance issues. Yes, badly optimized, and that's putting it mildly.
Try playing Gundam RTS, EE, Evo or THIS in a really prolonged game with tons of units and booku explosions. Yes there is a performance hit (duh), but the performance hit of any of these games is negligible compared to BA.
I'm not knocking BA, I'm simply stating a fact.

aehm.. hello?
this is really all pointless stuff discussed here.
either get infolog of the/a crash, or we forget about it.
