Moderation

Can we have stricter moderation policy?
Maybe the guiding line for moderators can be "if you have a shred of a doubt if a post needs moderating you moderate it".
Stop the offensive attitudes in the community or help stop them by moderating the forum better.
If someone posts something stupid it can always be ignored.
Is there even a point to posting negative posts and abusive ones? They should be deleted.
Either you shut up or post something helpful.
Why would any moderator be against such a policy?
Plz moderators,tell me.

Funny how you suddenly want to act like you are a victim. Must be contagious, we have a lot of that going around.

Post in your subforum and you can moderate all those you disagree with.

I have 5 screens of unread posts and 0 reports on any of them... unless I happen to read an offensive post and am personally offended how am I to know there is a problem?
Reports are useful... please use them if you feel a post needs moderation.
So yeah... it's your fault.

Personally i have tried using them on posts that are obviously against forum laws.they were not dealt with.

imo moderators should put threads in the correct subforum and also rename them if they have stupid names like "read this", "wtf" etc.

fuck i wish my threads had half this responses, ontopic.
BTW why did that "tower defense" thread got locked?
i want tower defense too.
also remember the already abusive policies we have.
dont give those guys more ideas.
we actually should remove those policies. if someone cared for censorship that is.
otoh, its disgusting trolling cant be censored either... but thats the price of free speech, censoring the trolls will mean we can censor anyone, if what he says we dont like.
at most, you will get ugly responses, at times, saying you are a troll or something. which is ok.

Noted. As this thread is technically against forum rules, I'll lock it.
But just to mention before I do: you contradict yourself. You desire stricter enforcement of the guidelines, yet say that "if someone posts something stupid it can always be ignored". Under that logic I should ignore this thread as it is just something stupid. It is not really offensive in any way, but it's quite pointless. Any issues you have with moderation should be dealt with discretely with the moderators themselves -- a forum topic is not the place for this.
EDIT: If anyone has any more to add to this, I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea; as long as replies are kept civilized and helpful.

Dont constantly remove the contents of the posts you moderate? I mean all that stuff that gets replaced by red or green mod commentary. Its retarded when you dont know what exactly is this thing youre not supposed to do...

Johannes, try reading

If the stuff got removed, you can be pretty sure it was very bad and in violation of the above rules.

I will tell you like my boss told me, if you think it is inappropriate it probably is.
