Is it possible to move the origin of an object using COB? If so, how?

You can move object with the "move" command. If you need to move the center of rotation of an object without any of its faces moving, just add a faceless second object, just below the object you wanna move the origin of, in the piece hierarchy, then move the one object one way and the other object in the opposite way, and when you wanna apply a "turn", instead of turning the one object, turn the other one.

Well there is that. Damn your superior lateral thinking!

thanks guys!
It turned out I could solve my problem in upspring, by simply openeing the model, moving the origin of the piece, and saving it again :)
