Spring RTS Engine

This map was created from images taken by NASA satellites. It is a small one, with very low metal. Should be a good map from a tactical point of view.

I really like the look of it. 1 minor point of critisism: perhaps you should've >slighty< altered the 4 corners....it's a bit obvious how you turned the original texture.

Are the hill-flanks only climbable by k-bots?
Any special movement- affecting terraintypes?

I like it; but I would have preferred more extreme heightmaps. The hills are really quite shallow for their purpose.

Thanks for the comments. Red: I thought about it, but I came to the conclusion that using the actual satellite photo would look the best (plus I like it because everyone gets the same exact base). The jagged hills on one side are only climable by kbots. Vehicles have to use the center valley to enter. No movement affecting terrain types were used.

I've thought about doing a Flooded version of the map, any thoughts?

Would make an interesting change, but because of the size of boats the map would have to be bigger. Or it could just be me, as I dont like really small maps.

Hahah It must be those same satellites that are keeping stats on major league baseball

u have to use kbots to acess the slopes VERY cool tactically. love it.

This is now my standard map for beta testing, it's quite nice, the fog could have been a little heavier though
