Spring RTS Engine

when i try to launch it after one of its random updates it lways requests it says "Springlobby.exe is not avalid win32 program"
wtf?

maybe the download was corrupt.. (dont know if ther eis a hash chekc in pace or not). just try to reinstal spring lobby from the spring installer or from www.springlobby.info.

Why is it so fucking hard to get Spring running?
I reinstalled and now it says that my Spring version isnt up to date anymore (which is true), but it also says i couldnt connect to a server and it neither could find my unitsync library, all after a full reinstall of Spring...

because this is an open source project, and people that write this software purely to so because they like doing it. if this would be a commercial game, then of course something like this would seriously matter.

I am having a similar problem.

I recently updated to the latest spring, after being prompted by the lobby.

It broke.

I uninstalled spring (which there was apparently 2 copies), which was in the apparently now double folders (spring and spring engine).

I reinstalled spring (the latest), and moved my maps from "\spring engine" to "\spring", and deleted "\spring engine".

I updated my lobby (I just downloaded the newest spring thing! WTF why?)

When I attempt to log into the official server to play online, it says:


Where to I go from here?
I have passed further, but it flipped out.

EDIT2: In order to fix this, I went to my options tab, then I went to the spring sub-tab.
After this, I deselected "Search only in current installed path", then "browse"ed the executable and the unitsync library, unitsync.dll
I then clicked apply, and voila. Fixed. Thanks guys for your wonderful tech support!!!
