Spring RTS Engine

Several months ago, I was able to minimize Spring in the middle of a game and maximize it without missing a beat. However, now if I were to accidentally bump the windows key, the entire game freezes and necessitates a ctrl-alt-del. Any fixes?

I thought the updating the drivers fixed it, but now every once in a while it works.
