Sorry, not using Fraps. Ok the answer is no, got it.

There are other screen / sound capture utilities. Fraps is just one of several.

The point is, "use a tool designed for what you want, or record sound + Spring frames and hope it all matches up after you've dropped back to 30FPS playback".

I can't see any major issues with just opening up Audigy, for example, and running it to capture current sound output whilst making a video, so long as you scale the resulting footage's speed back to the same speed as your soundtrack, and expect to have to match up the soundtrack with the video track later in the editing process. But the problem there is the same you'll hit with Fraps, which is that you need a fast PC to make it work right.

Basically, there aren't any perfect ways to make good video with this engine. I am totally astounded at some of the stuff Pendrokar and a few others have pulled off, frankly, having been through the process myself a few times.

prescript the camera and send the replay and camera to me - I'll give you a 30fps video with sound at pretty much any sane resolution you want.

well i didn't actually have anything in mind... i mean i've thought of the idea for a while but i haven't actually written anything out...
i'll try to think of something though, you guys could try to make something up too

A camera scripting lua for making videos would be nice.

Springs inbuilt video capture doesn't record sound.

Just buy FRAPS don't be so damn cheap. I bought World of Goo 4 times just to be nice.

If you slow in-game speed to like 0.5 or something, does everything go a lot more smoothly from frame to frame?
