My ATI driver sometimes crashes for some reason.
It can sometimes happen when the game is loading or just in the middle of the game.

I run spring on windows XP have a duel core Intel.
ATI 4850 with the latest drivers.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

post infolog.

also, make sure you have:
- disabled fps manager,
- enabled /water 0 (basic), 2 (dynamic) or 4 (bumpmapped without shorewaves) - /water 1 and 3 leak memory somewhere, probably in the drivers, because it doesn't happen on nvidias.

My ATI Radeon HD 3850 (on AGP) was having crash problems with the latest Spring. CA crashed the most reliably. I updated to the latest ATI driver (quite an achievement, it turns out) and now it runs.

I solved my problem by removing shore lines as was advised.
