"error binding socket as server" error

I just downloaded the spring torrent mappack compilation, downloaded it into "spring/maps/mappack". I then tried to host a game, but upon clicking start, it gave me the "error binding socket as server" error.
Help ?

The maps are just the sd7 files, so all those files will need to be in just /maps/... don't know what would cause the socket error though.

I /think/ that means that there is already a server running on that port, or the port is otherwise locked down.

Spring will find and use maps in subfolders as well without any problem.
