Griefer ingame - mods do something please

So I reinstalled Spring after not playing some time, and saw how one game was completely ruined by one person. (Building transports and picking up friendly comms and self-d'ing the transports). The players name was [lol]not_a_smurf. Please do something about this mods. Attaching replay

It's distressing that a problem that would be so easy to fix mod side and about which people have been complaining for over ten years hasn't been addressed yet.
Or does the BA crowd considered this a valid tactic, and that noob just have to suffer it for being noob?

It is a valid tactic at times, also this is an issue that should be handled by the autohost owner/host and not lobby moderators.

Yeah - most guys want to keep this option as a strategy. The problem is that exploiting this can ruin games...
I guess it'll be a Lua Coder job to e.g. do a gadget that only allows to transport a player's own Commander while this still wouldn't prevent someone going nuts just with his own...

I'd say this is an issue that should be handled by the modder / mod maintainer.

It is intended to be able to pick up your ally units.

Okay I consider commbombing a valid tactic if you're using your own comm or stealing the enemy comm, but not using your teammates comm without permission and bombing teammates

The solution would be to ban the trolls I think

Sure, find the owner of the autohost where you played and send him the replay and explain why you're butthurt.

If one reads threads on these forums for a long enough time, one will know that there is a standard (and usually mildly irritating) reply given by someone in response to almost all threads complaining about odd BA game mechanics. In this case, the line bearer will have to be me. Here goes, brace for it:
Try playing CA. These problems aren't apparent there.

I will do that, but the sad thing is that it won't stop that guy to just join another game and to the same to other people, he looked like a dedicated griefer.
Try playing CA
Yeah that message is in almost any BA related thread

So griefing is impossible in CA? Amazing

Not impossible, just very hard. Add to that the fact that at least one server admin tends to be spectating on the autohosts almost all of the time, and you generally have yourself a grief-free game!

Not entirely.

The issue here is not the game mechanics, the issue is that the individual has decided to disrupt and ruin a game and with this intention would find a way to do this whatever tricks were put in place.
It would be futile to try and start an arms race against these people with modifications to the game, the solution is to give them a ban until they learn their lesson imo.

The next step would be making units unable to fire anywhere in the vicinity of allied units, then being unable to self-destruct anywhere in the vicinity of allied units, then being unable to give dangerous units to allies, then the inability to self-destruct mines if there's the possibility anything friendly will be damaged, then if you don't participate in fighting enough you get kicked...
There are assclowns and nubtards in every game, if you can't stand it don't play in autohosts that don't have a minimum rank. Or play CA - it is so friendly, inviting, and intuitive that you can't possibly go wrong. Why, just last night I saw
a CA room that wasn't empty.

PLay 1v1, or make clans with ppl you trust, and only play with them.
Problem solved.
