Alternate metal view

I coded a widget to replace the metal view. Initially I made it because of how in the Cursed the metal view is obscured by the ground decal. It takes some seconds to calculate it whenever you load a map or enable the widget. It hides completly the ground, and doesn't have any shading, which makes it abit flat. That could be corrected though. I'm not sure this widget has really some use, but I thought I'd share anyway.

My Alternate Metal View Widget:
You can notice I also made it more precise toward the extremities of the metal spectrum (by using a power of three).

Please post a screenshot of the widget on a spot (as opposed to cloud) metalmap?
Also: Nice job! Maybe you and CarRepairer can work together and prettify/modernify metal view? Please?

It's even more useless there:
It's not fit for spot metal distributions because it's too imprecise. Already with the sample period used, it takes fair amount of memory and processing power to generate the color map, so using the same precision as the actual metal map would choke my computer.

Oh. Sorry didn't know. I wonder what does easy metal exactly do. Where do I find easymetal? I just tried CA, SpringInfo widget database, and Spring Downloader, couldn't find it.
