I'm reflexively typing .cheat all the time while devving. Out of curiosity, what was the rationale behind changing it to /cheat?

before some commands required . prefix, some required /
now all commands require / as prefix like 99% of chat clients do

oic, just for standardization.
I've always thought of it as almost an SY tradition, all the way back to demo recorder it was always a dot prefix for commands... I guess this isn't an SY project anymore though.

The orginal /. convention was
for gamestate-impacting changes (like cheat), and
for local stuff (like shadows), but somebody felt it necessary to unify them.

! is also an irc convention to give commands to bots of any kind. it was only adapted by spring.
