Spring RTS Engine

when i open up the spring lobby it says : "your springlobby version is not up to date your version o.o.1.10477
latest version 0.5 would you like me to autodownload the new version? changes will take effect next you launch the lobby again" i click on yes and about 20 seconds later it says "there was an error while trying to replace the current executable version manual copy is necessary from: C:\Program Files\spring\\lobby\springlobby\update\ to: C:\Program Files\Spring|springlobby.exe
Please use help->report bug to report this bug."
so of course i go to C:\program files\spring but once there there is no lobby folder or any folder that contains a patch or anything similar.

You need to install Spring somewhere other than inside Program Files if you want that to work. It has no write access there. C:\Spring , C:\Games\Spring , whatever should be fine.

now im getting a different problem w00t when i start it up it asks me to login then it says "a connection couldnt be established to the server would you like to try again with the same server? no to go to next server on the list."
i noticed there's no other server on the list tho. is the official server down or something?
it only happens when the game is installed somewhere other than program files tho (installed the game 7 times to make sure XD)
