Spring RTS Engine

Now I have finnally mangaed to get Spring to work, i've been playing for just under a week now and all is fine.

I re-formatted my computer yesterday, and now when I play Spring it does this weird thing.

I play like normal, then it will kind of cut my control to the game, there is no build menu, no menu at the top for chat, and it doesnt display the players in the match, I can still move around, but cant select any of my units and such. To get control of the game back I have to frantically click all over the screen unitl I 'Grab' one of my units. Its really annoying and I cant play properly and sometimes I cant 'grab' hold of any of the units again. Its hard to explain and im sure you think im crazy

Ive tried re-installing, deleting all aspects of Spring from registry, and no luck. Is is some setting thats doing this?

Nope, If i press F5 when it happens, it makes my minimap disappear. Thats all.

Thanks though, any other suggestions why it keeps doing this?

very weird. do you use the most recent gfx drivers? also, try setting the config to lowest preset.

I have an ATI X800,

Im not using the latest drivers, I was using them, but Spring wouldnt work with them, so I downgraded to Catalist 7.1

Its really weird and very annoying, im on XP pro too.

7.1 is waaaaay too old. try something like 8.7 or modified drivers (omega or DNA).

looks like its LolUI related problem?

If F11 works, disable LolUI and enable "Old BA layout"
