Any idea ?

Its possible that spring tries to use a resolution not supported by your graphics card. Please try open springsettings and change the resolution to something your card is capable of (your desktop resolution e.g.).

Changing the resolution give the same error. I have a nvidia 8600gt on a 19" screen with a common resolution 1024x768.
Glxgears works and direct rendering too, i can play other 3d game without problem.

I just follow the Spring wiki for gentoo for installing it:
-adding the overlay
-emerge spring springlobby spring-ota-content
-add user into game group
-download maps and mod from the online servers

Maybe i have missed something ?
I don't know if it's related but when i try to enter in a online party the consol show me always "error: didn't find the user" but i can still go in the "war room" but never start. But i suppose when i can it will give me the GLX error like when i want to start the singleplayer.

Any help is welcome.

reduce anti aliasing to a sane value

I have tested with very low graphics option, windowed or not, 0 anti aliasing... always the error.

edit: i have a dual display with 2 screens, maybe it can come from here ?

Change your default Xserver depth to 24 bits in xorg.conf. This should solve problem.
