this is kinda imba. dont you agree?
the proposition that was made is to reduce their speed, so the AA would have more chaces to get them down.
any other ideas?

The whole point of bombers is basically to go on a suicide run, heavy damage but for maximum losses. On the bombing run against 10 Jethros all the Bombers will be lost.
If we reduce their speed they'll be pretty useless, hardly any will pass through AA, they're used as a concentrated force at a single point to break AA.
Also, I can "beat" 8 Bombers with a Commander and 2 slashers, so if you can't beat 10 bombers with 10 Jethros and 10 Commanders, that's your problem.

if you're the only one then youre pro, but we epic noobs cant cope with unbalanced units.

I meant babs should back up his ridiculous claims with some sort of evidence. sounds pretty unlikely that he'd be able to pull that off.

Well there is a few problems with t1 bombers that need to be ironed out. Once bombers will drop their bombs regardless of the situation i imagine it could get quite scary. Bombers, Fighters do half damage to the com, except gunships. Com sniping is only ridiculous with bombers because its very hard to dodge the bombs, epically with a core commander. A morphed arm commander can dodge most of it, which is probably why babbles is fussing. I can restore bomb tossing which makes it dodgable to a certain agree, but it will be able to drop bombs from a range from now about 200 to 400-600, which is problem due to the surprisingly lack range from anti air. It will probably require a speed nerf, unfortunately.
Off to the side, i was thinking about just for fun giving the arm thunder a real lightning weapon that is pinpoint accuracy, and can be turned from emp to damaging. Problem is the bombers lack area of effect, and lacks the ability to drop the bombs early.
Shadows on the other hand,are the same, aoe, and toss the bombs just a tad early, has more destructive power.

Bombers are often throw away, without overwhelming air defense, you're not going to kill them before they drop at least one payload, and ten payloads should be more than enough to kill a commander.

On a wide open surface with the bombers allowed to freely move, and radar/scouting coverage of the comm, an unmorphed core comm and no xp with 2 slashers dies on the 2nd/3rd fly past with the bombers all being lost.
Also, I tested and, without an e storage or supply:
10 crashers + 1 core unmorphed commander > 10 thunders
10 copperheads + core unmorphed commander > 10 phoneix
20 phoneix > 10 copperheads + core unmorphed commander
So basically, if you're alone in the middle of a map with little AA and surrounded by nothing but enemy radars then you die. And if that happens you deserve to.

AA isnt exactly rare in XTA, air kinda needs to make cost in its chosen role to be useful

Direct cost comparison fails to take into account the context of operating an air lab as your main lab.
If its 1v1/2v2 then you are at a serious disadvantage and will most likely get rushed. If it is a larger game then QQ make fighters.
