I found that the original starts a new track every second, so I made some minor changes: put the length of the tracks into the file.

is there still no way to make this just read whatever cd we have in the drive?

Of course you can't read a CD when you're restricted to files in the spring folder. I think you're well aware that question doesn't belong in the lua forum. Unless you for some reason think there's some way to call arbitrary external code after the module loading got removed? But if you meant that, then older spring versions already had the ability to play CDs.
Also a widget that just needs filenames and with a far better architecture is in SA. There's a bug that triggers sometimes but not my problem. It might be when starting a new track when an old one hasn't loaded yet.

Yes,use the SA version but it does give out a bug in some cases.
Here is the error report...everyone(who gets it)get the same error.
If you solve this please post back a fixed version.

I'm not in the mood to make a workaround. It should be obvious what needs to be done, but I don't want to.

As far as I'm concerned, I can simply just switch the tracks to my own. Assuming that Spring can read .mp3 files as well. (Switch the formats within the lua script

)
Problem being right now, is that the widget doesnt work. It says it cannot open .ogg file because it is not "vorbis" data.
Odd.

or use winamp, but implement a widget that "push" the buttons like louder (for that all user have to bind the same buttons in winamp or modify this widget)

For most people with somewhat recent computers, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any difference at all.
