I get this every time:

spring: /build/buildd/spring-0.79.1/rts/Game/PlayerHandler.h:35: CPlayer* CPlayerHandler::Player(int): Assertion `unsigned(i) < players.size()' failed.

a known bug, workaround: set name= to something in ~/.springrc
