BA Bombers slowing frame rates

The engine exhaust effect in BA on Core T1 bombers has a huge hit on framerates. In mods such as Maximum TA where this effect doesn't exist, there is no issue with FPS. How do you turn off the effect in BA.

Press F11, disable 'LUPS' and 'LupsManager' should turn these extra effects off I believe.

It wont, only editing lups.cfg can turn off distortions.

I think there's an alternate solution. Go to Spring settings and turn off lua shaders.
