After updating to 0.79.0.2, I get this error trying to start Spring.

Image
  • Previous versions of Spring worked.
  • Updating drivers did not work.
  • Uninstalling Spring and installing again didn't work.
  • Installing Spring to a new, blank folder didn't work.
  • I am running Windows XP SP3 on a Core 2 Duo E6750. My graphics card is a nVidia 8800 GTS. I updated drivers to 185.85.
Any help is appreciated.

Note that with almost the same specifications, I can run everything fine.

Trying to install and run 0.78.2.1 (using the installer gotten through TASClient) gives me this error:

Strange, it worked before...

That's just the new spring screwing the config file, no biggie, delete it or try copying that font over.

After some more driver shuffling, I got it to work. Apparently it doesn't work if desktop color depth is not set to 32-bit (at least windowed).
