I would rather appreciate it if there could be bloom in the engine, to do better what a widget shader cannot.

THe widget bloom is neato, but it's no substitute for true honest to god bloom

Playing fallout 3 and messing with supcom makes me sad whenever I load the spring bloom widget. :(

while the spring bloom widget needed work it was at least an effort, just saying, you could be more supportive.

Please explain. What would a shader in the engine be able to do? Run bloom only on certain things? Forb, how is it not 'honest' bloom? I want you to take that down to a +1 right now if you won't give an overview.

Well however we do bloom, it would be important for the gadget, engine, widget to detect the amount if bright colors are on screen so it can be dynamic and be less blinding bloom on a snow field.

Yeah. I tried to make the widget automatically adjust itself to any map and camera position, but it failed.

Im sorry I have no idea what I am requesting, truly, as I am a graphics noob. However, there is a difference between cleverly placed bright dots and pixels on a spring map, and the glare-like epic bloom on the capital wasteland looking out to the sunrise in Fallout 3, and similar appearance in Supcom. Hopefully someone who know what they are talking about can explain it.

+1

Also, the second image that is not 403 is indeed disagreeable. The only bloom i see is in a random patch on the sky and perhaps some on the guy's skin, which is worrisome.

Sorry for being slightly off-topic, but I think cel-shading would be a nice (optional!) addition to the Spring engine.

Uuuuuh... no.

If textures could be swapped for highly blurred, then lowered colour depth swatches...
