Why do you keep posting these? S44 models (hell, MOST Spring models) look like ass at that close range.

fuck off with your stupid trolling
Re: Spring 1944: shit was SO minerals
I think it looks cool but the troop shot could have better timing, they are all in the middle of a simultaneous gleeful skip.

thats how s44 infantry running scripts roll
Re: Spring 1944: shit was SO minerals
This does not make me want to play this game.
Srsly, when you bother to upload pictures, pick pretty ones, not just results of random F11 presses.

I think you are taking the shots from too close angle. Spring isn't a fps game...
The tank shot looks pretty good but the scenario is too empty...

Seriously?
First off, the models itself - I mean, S44's models are hyper-low polycount and segmented. Which is 100% appropriate for a large-scale RTS game like S44, and also would be totally appropriate for the PS1 version of Medal of Honor... which is apparently what you're showing us a screenshot of.
Dude, look at the size of the landscape pixels. You're showing off art assets at levels of detail that were never meant to be seen. It's like seeing your favourite porn-star in HD for the first time, and realizing you can see her needle-tracks.
The tank shot and the bazooka shot would be fine with two changes
1) get more action happening in the background and
2) back that camera up a fair bit.
The big infantry-charge is just a matter of bad timing... and yeah, the camera could be backed up a little, but not much.
The gameplay shots you're showing don't look like an RTS game. They look like like a version of BF1942 made in 1996. Which isn't meant as an insult to S44 - S44's assets are 100% appropriate for their intended use, and look wonderful in that usage.
Your screenshots show how they're also 100% inappropriate for an FPS game.

Uhm... well, thanks for trying, but currently I tend to agree with the criticisms. Making close up shots for S44 is a bloody pain, and until we get skeletal animation and a much better map format, it will probably remain that way.
Now, if you could get some slightly further out, not tracing the contours of the land, I'm sure you could get somewhere. You're good at catching the action, but you're using normal angles instead of Myspace angles. You want to hide the weaknesses of the body and make yourself look fierce/sensual/tall/thin whatever.

Re: Spring 1944: shit was SO minerals
well, it was intended for a mockup loadscreen (see attatchment..)
maybe you guize are right, but then s44 rarely looks any good from much further out because the units become tiny dots (s44 is usually played with icons...). if you look at s44 loadscreens, most the shots are from similar distances.
@ zwzsg: oh yeah, I should totally make my shots more like the shots you have posted here-
