Spring RTS Engine

Ok, we all are kinda annoyed how many empty autohosts there are, it fills the whole list, and you need to use filters to really find any games on there...

My idea is awesome!

Ok here it goes...

Remove autohosts! LOL, joking (kinda).

The real idea:
1) All autohosts battle rooms would be quited if they are idling there empty for 10mins. (and insta quit if people just joined there and then left, so you cant revive all the autohosts there if you just join them once and instantly quit, so it would wait 10 mins only if there was a game before everyone left).
2) If you want to play on autohosts, you could just host a game like you normally do, but instead of hosting your own game, you have a selection: "host by using autohosts"
3) If you are too noob to press the host button, there could also be some button with text "HOST WITH AUTOHOST" above the games list...

So, then the autohosts amount wouldnt matter at all, and the battle list would look much more cleaner too.

I was under the impression that autohosts on demand is something being worked on.

i use filter Players > 0 and mess is gone. But i agree noobs might have harder time at start.

it's already implemented & working in springlobby

Oh, now all we need is to change the bots scripts and make them quit after 10mins idle or something like that...

What bothers you so much about autohosts? Any game has a lot of empty servers, WiC has about 90% of them empty 24/7. I dont really see whats wrong with them just being there, whether on the other hand I do see a problem with someone else using my autohost "on demand".

My battle list is fine. I use a filter than only displays mod containing "BA" and then I just sort the list by players. Then the largest BA games are listed from top to bottom ^_^
