they have somehow turned star trek into some hardcore. this is prolly the best film since dark knight, easy

I've heard the new Star Trek is good from other people, too.

i saw it, its one of the best movies i've seen in a while, but it's not the best movie, if you know what i mean.

the dark knight was absolute trash imo. hopefully star trek isnt going to be overhyped junk too =/, i really like star trek lol.

Dark knight was a good batman film...First it was massively hyped with viral marketing and everyone was going crazy for it and now the hype and popularity backslash...everyone hates it.

its true that star wars is the cool sci fi story that is socially acceptable to love and enjoy.

And star trek is for geeks/nerds

new star trek film has taken a turn from geeky film/series to sci-fi action blockbuster which is awesome :p. Cant wait to see it (never really liked star trek or the other films)

I just realized why I haven't enjoyed a movie in a long time. Movies used to show be able to used up 10+ seconds on a short scene showing some guy gazing off in the distance, or maybe a mouse moving around before being eaten by a cat. Today it seems that with easily available technology you can create an entire film from front to back loaded with cgi special effects. CGI can be good, just give it back some artistic value. Too many explosions and in your face cinematography + lame acting + regurgitated and predictable plot get old pretty fast.

I saw it having never seen anything star trek related before, it was pretty good!

Just saw it; haven't had this many nerdgasms since Transformers.

They did a great job paying tribute to the original. I wouldn't call it the perfect movie, but I would call it the perfect Trek remake.
