┬┐preformance issues?

hi guys, nice engine there.

I cant run spring on max settings with too many units arround. I wanted to know if this is due to preformance issues or its just that my card is not that powerfull. over the 700 units moving, the game lags over 1000 lags badly.

I have a 9500 GT XFX 512mb DDR3, AMD 4800 x2 2.4gz , 2gb RAM 667mz, mother 6100sm-m2

note: a 9500gt is a 8600gt with DDR3, it is not comparable with 9800gt ect...

sorry for my bad english.

Depends on what you define as "max settings". I don't think the full dynamic water runs quickly for _anybody_.

Try lowering the shadowmap resolution to 2048 - I've noticed that having it higher than the card can deal with can cause major framerate issues.

I usually play with it on and it runs fine.

I'd say your computer is not powerful enough for anywhere near max settings.
Put all settings to low and unload as many LUA widgets as possible.

how often do you play a game with over 1k units?

in NOTA, I play games with 3vs3, each guy had 300 units. it was REALLY laggy.

in BA with 12 players you can have 1000 units on the map really quickly

if you press B ingame, you can see which part of spring is using the highest percent of resources
