Settings in new version?

Hi,
I've played spring before, a few years ago actually, so it was quite a surprise when I couldn't change the settings in the new version! I have absolutely no idea how to change the graphics/resolution. I tried copying the "settings.exe" over from the old version but it doesn't seem to have any effect. The new version doesn't have this exe and I don't have a clue as to what to try next. I downloaded it right from this website, it's around about 15m, so it's just the engine, but I thought it would have it even still.
I hope I haven't doubled up threads, I searched and didn't find anything.
Does anyone know what to do? Anyone experienced this? Is there somewhere else I can download a version of spring with the "settings.exe"?

The new version should come with a springsettings.exe

Ah, yes, I downloaded it at my uni (have no net at home worth connecting to ... 2kb per second!) and installed it, I let it connect and download all the stuff, there was a "settings.exe" in the folder after install ... OK, so you have to download it. That's pretty strange though, I'd have thought they'd give you the settings without having to connect to the net.
Thanks, didn't think about that before your post.

I forget, I used the S44 installer the last few dozen times. It happens to be more complete, if much larger.

Or you can use the
Kernel Panic installer, complete but not much larger.

Yeah, I've copied the installed folder, I'll dump it over my version at home, that should (

) work, there's no reason not to. I've been itching to play it, just got a 4890 and a new CPU!! - My old laptop won't run it (open-gl?) and my old PC lagged, can't wait!

If your old version is so old that it hadn't a springsettings.exe, you're better off deleting it and installing a fresh new version than trying to mix and match your old and new Spring.
What Spring mods/games do you play btw?

Ah ... don't have many atm, got 1944 the other day, that was pretty cool but I'm not entirely convinced of spring's ability to depic organic movement

Also, I was confused and didn't know what to do! My version was the latest, for some reason though, it didn't give me a settings.exe, the older one I had (7.5b?) gave me one though.
I want to get some more mods/games but most require OTAcontent.sdz or something along those lines. Is there anywhere I can get everything I need (mods + required files)?

TA content can be downloaded here:
http://springrts.com/dl/installer/base/
They go in a the /base/ folder of your Spring folder.
It's probably illegal to get them.
