Have installed. Cannot play.

I am 10 years old and I am trying to play Spring.
I am using Windows Vista. I installed the files. When I start Spring I 'Allow' the program to connect.
I click on 'Single Player'
A woman's voice says "link engaged" and then "link dis-engaged".
This is as far as I get. How can I play the game?

You're using Team Speak young man. What you need to install is Spring.

Are you running springlobby? If so:
Download a mod and some maps, if you havent yet; from
http://spring.jobjol.nl
Then select a mod and map in the bottom of the single player window, then click add bot, and select KAIK bot, and add it. Press start in the bottom and have fun!

That might be springlobbys enabling of springdownloader and enabling of TS system.
Talk about barrier to entry

If you won't be too disappointed to get KP instead of BA, try
Kernel Panic installer, which contains all you need to play it including single player, but less confusing extra elements like downloader or teamspeak.

Thank you for writing back so quickly!!
I downloaded the mod and put it in the mod folder. And then the map in the map folder.
I clicked on the 'Spring Battleroom' and then TeamSpeak 2 opens up and says that I am connected to server Spring RTS sever. It shows my username is connected
But the TASClient 0.43 says Login failed: Bad username/password
Conection to server closed! Connecting to localhost...
Conection to server closed! Connecting to localhost...
Conection to server closed! Connecting to localhost...
Cannot connect to server!
aaah
time for bed

You need to register in tasclient.
