New map - Nation v1 - 32 player map

A 32*32 water map for 32way ffa or teams of your choice:
All units pass shallows.
No metal in sea.
Hovers pass nearly everywhere.
Home mexes are worth more than expansions (by 20%)
Expansion is still essential for winning.
Made with World machine 1.25 standard and 2.1 basic :) Textured with WICed.
Forgive the bad texture quality, I had to use simple textures and insane compression to get the file size down. Hopefully improving performance.
Lobbies dont show the start points above 16, will this change with next spring version?

although i dont frequently play huge FFAs i do like the concept and had it myself - have big continents in which smaller initial FFAs occur, then as players emerge and claim their continent they go and battle other ones

Regardless of time spent, that looks very cool. Will be a great map to start working out 1944 navy balance on.

It will be interesting to see how a sea map with proper chokepoints turns out, I always liked 2 continents remake for its chokepoint.

Looks like a fun map, Beherith!
One criticism I have is that the colour of the water/shallows gives the impression of a caribbean style archipelago, whilst the green texture of the land gives more of a north europe type environment where you'd imagine the water would be darker and the shallows muddier. Which one were you aiming for?
Also, some trees would be nice; there's a reasonable selection of trees that could work in this environment, I think.

I didn't want to add any trees because the map is already slow enough. The default spring trees are just too ugly, I didn't want to use those. All other trees when applied in any significant number are just too much of a performance hit.
I just got bored with tweaking the water settings so I just went with something that I knew would work.
jK is working on a new map water settings widget.
But you are completely right about the climates clashing

I <3 FFAs. Thank you very much for making this. I would love to see more 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 way FFA maps, especially in this natural style.
