sorry... i forgot to mention, i'm using linux... but i do have something called GTKReccordMyDesktop...
EDIT: is there like a file extension converter?

akaik replay files aren't actually videos, so they couldn't be reformatted into like avi or something. You'd have to record the replay with something else while it plays over in spring.
