Spring RTS Engine

I know there was a thread on this topic but it was of no help. When i try to play a game the fallowing error comes up. update drivers. extension_ARB_env_combine.

My ? is where do i go to update this driver?

What graphics card do you have?
If you don't know, post the infolog.txt file in your C:\program files\spring\ directory.

Usually http://www.nvidia.com or http://ati.amd.com

maybe it is not clear that with "driver" we mean "graphic card driver". the next release uses more verbose error messages for this, including "graphics card driver".

i dont think my graphics card is good enuff. can any one tell me if it is i have NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64?

No, its not. A Geforce 4 MX is considered minimum.

NVIDIA TNT2 is too old for Spring. I know, I tried.

How much would it cost to get a card that will work? like the cheapest one compatabol with my comp and the game.

AGP cards are becoming rare and therefore more expensive than PCIe.

If you want really cheap, I suggest buying a used card. You will get a faster card for much less money. IIRC the fastest AGP cards available are X1950 XT and Radeon 3850.

Or, you can get a new Radeon 3650 AGP for ~80$.

and these cards will be compatabol with my mother board?

That is impossible to say, but if you got the TNT2 AGP version it should be compatible. TNT2 is also available as a PCI card. If this is what you've got, your computer is completely obsolete - Don't bother upgrading it.

yea my laptop and other desktop run the game just fine and are pretty new. this is just my old junker i was trying ot let my brother to use.

you should not get a too good card then, or he would start playing other games aswell.. tie him to spring, and get the minimum card Auswaschbar suggested
