Spring RTS Engine

Hi
first of all im new to Spring and downloaded it today. Ive installed it and everything works fine. Ive even watched a game as spectator. But if i try to change the game settings in the TASClient (0.46), a windows error message pops up stating that an error occured and the .exe must be shut down.
Can anyone help me please?
