failed to intialize 0xc0000005

amd athlon 3000
radeon x700
1.5g memory

Whenever launching a game I get this:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application"

Worked fine last night, broken this morning. Did a search found no solutions. Tried reinstalling to no avail. Tried hosting some of my own games, same problem.

So that's just the infolog from the last time you played successfully? It's not making new ones?
Did you install updates to anything yesterday?

Yeah that was the last game from last night which was a CA game that never really got going. I played some 1944 before that. Windows may have installed an update but it might have been friday that it did that.

It could be that one of the DLL files the game uses is broken...

I only did a quick reinstall. Reinstalled right over the old folder without removing spring.

Did a complete uninstall, restart, and fresh install. Worked so I cant complain, just inconvenient.
