How can I set up my own server on localhost? Newb question I know, but I can lan party while the host is down.
edit: nevermind, I figured it out, really easy. Everyone join localhost! I'll see you there!

(Yes I know it's my lan only, I'm joking.)

Can anyone help me? I cant join your localhost server, it says error message:
[15:40:57] Cannot connect to server!
ha-ha...
And on the topic:
why did they close the previous server before testing the new one? omg... i have been doing so many useful things all these days! someone stop me! (yes... spring is waste of time)

if I didn't test on the main server, I'd never get testing done
over the course of six months or so, nobody ever really connected to the testing server, even with requests for official testing and such.
over the first 48 hours of running it on the main server, I created and closed about 70 bugs.

Sounds funny... you programmed bugs and then fixed them =D
Its what MS boys do to get paid more...

Anyways wouldnt it been possible to force people to test the new server? Like changing the server for one day, and then switching back to old if error occurs.

this is what tasclient-newsbar would be good for. one simple artice with topic "help testing new server makes your penis grow" would have been all you needed

sorry, wrote it early in the morning when I was really tired.
yeah, I created all of the bugs, but not intentionally.

The database isn't compatible, so going back to tasserver wouldn't be a good idea. I've been fixing bugs on the new server while it was running. We're running tasserver in lan mode until tizbac and I fix the current critical bug.
