Spring RTS Engine

I dont get it, I have had this game for a few months now and it had always worked fine until a few weeks ago.

I would go into the game, select a map and then the screen would go black and quit out onto the desktop and display this error message: Basic_string::_S_construct NULL not valid

Iv tried emptying the Mod folder and the Map folder and testing each combination of maps and Mods, but it always quits right after I select any map.

a little help would be great!

What have you done a few weeks ago?

Personnaly I would suggest uninstalling, manually deleting everything that remains in Spring's folder, then reinstalling.

I haven't changed anything that I know of, although my brother sometimes downloads a few new mods.

I tried installing the lates copy, but I still get the exact same thing, regardless of weather I have a mod in the Mod folder at all.
