Games worth playing

I would just like to mentioin I have been playing 3 games lately that are just awesome for the money in my opinion. The first is Silent Hunter 3 I got it and SH2 for 10 bucks. I come from the oldskool of DOS gaming and sub games like silent service used to be my favorites. They sure have come along way. I know SH4 is out and it is looks awesome but I hadn't played a good sub game in so long and the first one I got my feet wet with again was SH3. Really awesome game, great atmosphere.
Next I would like to mention Sturmovik IL-2 1946. Wow, absolutely "the" best WW2 flight sim I have ever seen. Probably the best fight sim in general I have ever seen. The dogfighting and damage physics are unmatched. I got it for 10 buck at the UBISoft online store. Worth 3 or 4 times that.
Lastly I would like to mention UFO Afterlight with the total rebalancing mod. One of the most addictive games I have played in a long time. Tons of content, great story and atmosphere and superb graphics make this one of my favorite squad based tactical strategy games. Some may argue that most all battles turn out more like a showdown at the OK Coral but when fighting on Mars that sort of cowboy gunfight just feels like it fits for some reason. Maybe it has something to do with memory of the Iron Maiden album cover for Stranger in a Strange Land http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Stran ... e_Land.jpg donno may just be me. Although I don't ever remember the Duke using rocket launcher and miniguns, maybe the occasional hand grenade in The Green Berets and The Sands of Iwo Jima, great game worth a look. Also 10 buck at Gamestop.
Just needed to throw that out there.
