Spring runs very bad

Springs doesn't work well. It lags like hell...
Doesn't matter how I change the settings. Don't think that my computer is the reason (dualcore, 4gb ram, geforce 9600 512mb).
Tried original game, Balanced Annihilation mod and Complete Annihilation mod.
Any ideas?

I think, I got the problem. But I don't know how to solve it...
Spring only uses 1 core witch runs on 100% usage then...
How can I change the settings to use both cores?

Spring always uses a single core. The issue with nVidia drivers is that they start doing something on their own on a different core, and make Spring jump back and forth, so now you have two cores in use doing less than the work of one.

If you're talking FPS, change all the graphic settings in Spring setting to the lowest they can go. Play a few games, if it makes a difference then you can adjust those sliders to suit your happy face.

It's not the fps. settings are the lowest...
I mean, can I make spring use the second core for example?

That

PS: Don't be discouraged by the lack of multicore capabilities. I have a q6600 (quad core 2.4 ghz) and spring runs just fine (50-60 fps) on a single core!

You can get a bit of an improvement from the GML builds, they run sim in one thread and rendering in another that sits right behind it, but it's not the multi-core action that would take a lot of work. But some widgets don't work on it.

(First sorry about my poor english)

I have experienced lags nowadays and thanks to the adv. player list I realised that it is because my mobile internet connection. My ping is >2s sometimes (in this case the up/down arrow is red; you can check the value numerically going over the icon with your mouse pointer(adv. player list have to be enable ->F11 ingame)) while cpu is far from 100%. I use mobile net since 2 months, During first month it was perfect... But now...

Thus I suggest you when a lag is occured have a look at your ping. If the ping icon will turn in red in 1-3 sec then you have the cause of your laggy game.

Well an another question is when I have a huge ping followed by a lag other player experince lag too? I do not know. I hope no...

I think it would be usefull if some developper of TAClient or LobbyClient could drop some comments. For example in my country there is a law if p2p is detected the supplier of the internet has the right to decrease the boundwith. (Since 56k is still used perhaps this is not a restriction...)

If someone could explain what ping depends on in general and especially in case of modile internet (when everything is stationary) i will be more than happy.

(Can the system ring me (or do some equivalent thing) when there are new comments in some specified topics?)

I was long : )) sorry
