As of today springinfo is offering prepackaged hosting to any and all spring games/mods.
It has come to light many times in the past that spring modders rarely have a place to call home other than maybe a forum thread or two, and springinfo is looking to change that by offering a hosting solution suited to fit the needs of even the most ambitious modder in spring.
Features include:
Presetup Dokuwiki
Presetup forum (courtesy of myupb.com)
Full FTP access
Fully mapped subdomains (yoursite.springinfo.info; yourforum.springinfo.info)
1gb of diskspace (more is available upon request)
Free!
This setup is made easy, you don't need to know any scripting/php or have any experience with webdesign. Dokuwiki and UPB are very simple to use. Additionally, you do not have to use the provided software, you are free to use other software if you so choose.
Hopefully this will further unite the spring community and allow for greater access to our fans. Whats more is that this is not limited only to games/mods, engine developers, lua developers, mappers are all welcome to apply for hosting as well. Simply post a request in the springinfo forums, and requests will be handled on a first come first serve basis. Thanks everyone, and happy gaming!

Running bots n autohosts would get forebodings server account nuked unless hes running a a virtual server, but I doubt hes paying out for that.
Ive been offering pretty much the same to tonnes of people, along with svn, mail, and a lot more disk space, though normally wordpress is requested not dokuwiki. Any interested just contact me and explain what you need it for (no pron stashes).

Ota content is fine. It's non exclusive.
@aus, that depends on what small programs you intend to run

If autohosting, no that would cause me some big oshitz with the host lol.

No it wouldn't. The autohost would be silently killed within seconds of starting and they wouldn't care.

Has it got the capability to run Wordpress? I was actually going to setup a Spring Guides tutorial site but I can only afford free hosting, being incredibly slow and cheesy.

If it was java, anything java is killed onsight every few seconds

@jazcash, I can set that up, yes, but before insisting on wordpress, take a look at this page:
http://www.dokuwiki.org/template
You can change the look however you want really easily, there is no reason why your site would HAVE to look like a wiki.

Hmm, looks pretty good I guess but I still think WP organizes everything better and has an overall better layout. I've even got some decent premium themes I've had for awhile.

I 100% agree. Wordpress can be used via this plugin.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pdo ... tallation/
Essentially, dl wordpress follow the plugin install instructions (they are extremely simple) and upload it.
As far as cms' go, I don't care what you use, but the limitation is no mysql database. If it IS absolutely necessary, I can set up a mysql database for it, but I do have a limited amount of them available, so I'll need a fairly good reason.
Also you might check out
http://www.flatpress.org/home/. It's pretty much identical to wordpress.
Speaking of, you can access all parts of dokuwiki, flatpress, and UPB by following the links below.
dokuwiki

user: admin
pass: admin
flatpress
http://www.springinfo.info/testsubsite/flatpress
user: admin
pass: admin1
UPB

pass: admin
Also, as I said, you are free to use any other cms you desire, nothing is forced.

I on the other hand have unlimited mysql databases ^_^ Foreboding if you need to offload ppl who want sql then send them my way
I think its also wise we discuss a 'guild' or 'network' of some sorts for linking our sites and the sites we host together.

Well essentially what happens is they monitor your usage. If your cpu usage or ram goes above a certain level they give you the evil eye.

We've got loads of hosting space and there is so much we could use it all for. Could we start with getting the old or a new ladder back up? We need to prioritize all the little do dah's and stuff so we get the most important stuff up and running first and then work on smaller things like my tutorial site or w/e.
PRIORITIZING, COMMENCE!
