Spring RTS Engine

For some reason, no matter what is in the .springrc file, no matter what SpringSettings has, and no matter what I do (with one exception), I cannot get Spring to run in fullscreen mode on my computer.

I know that it is an issue with spring because of that aforementioned exception: when I type "spring --fullscreen", the game does launch in fullscreen mode. However, this does nothing for any attempt to play a game off of SpringLobby.

Is there some reason why Spring won't run fullscreen by default?

The computer is an AMD64 with 2GB of RAM, running Gentoo. This has been an issue since version 0.76 of Spring, and I'm now using .78.2.1. Since .76 I'd been using the SVN version, as its fullscreen mode was working perfectly, but the ebuild is no longer available for the SVN version.

SpringLobby does not seem to be outputting any errors from spring regarding the display, so I am currently at a loss.

point springlobby at a shell script to launch spring with --fullscreen instead of the actual spring binary

Please try:

• "Fullscreen=1" in your .springrc
• build spring without the debug useflag
