Thoughts? I thought I'd get second opinions.
Maybe I'm missing the point, and there are a lot of people who want a calorie-counter and watch Ace of Cakes episodes on YouTube, which is what it shows
me when I start it
I have a feeling I'm not anything like the primary audience, tbh, but it doesn't feel as... uh... "friendly" as Yahoo.

Ok, I can see that- I just never really utilize RSS, I only catch up with news on the weekends anyhow, unless something major happened.

well, you can watch currency levels stock values etc. There are tons of little plugins to help you stay up to date on this or that.

Its my homepage. I have a bunch of news feeds on there, among other stuff. For all my google searches I have a toolbar instead of a webpage. I find it much more consistent and quick.
There are some really useless little application/plugin dealies, but some are incredibly useful. Weather and news feeds being the most prevalent and widely used I would think, but I also have a dictionary word of the day (maybe once a week I'll get a good word) and Astronomy Picture of the Day (which is really nice; wonderful pictures)

if you use gmail you can stick your inbox on it, like yahoo; you can send emails without leaving the page too. You can keep up on news and such pretty easy with the rss feeds too, i use it for an rss of facebook (as fail as that is), google top news, and lifehacker. When I played eve online there is a nice little widget to keep track of your skills too.
Yahoo does look way more user friendly but someone has made a widget for every random ass thing on google.

Not bad, could be better. Nothing innovative imo.
