I just got the news (Gnome uploaded it, that bastard

) that WD is out, ported for Spring.
Check it out
here...
And please, someone with a more powerful PC than me and GZ, make some screenshots with shadows and lotsa tanks to really show what this mod is about. Also, we need a simple AI for this thing, so even the endless masses of offline players can get modest satisfaction from the game. I'd do it, but I don't know the unit names and their inner balances.

It's implemented, but only for LOS weapons, not ballistic.

well, looks great at sp, but you cant play it in multiplayer

(at least through the spring client)
it gives lots of disabled units (both form xta and from wd).
if you start it anyway, it loads, but crashes before that.
anyone know how to make this work in multiplayer?
No readme inthe zip, but i assume its only needed to copy both files into spring folder to install it.

Too many units, it fucks up the syncing in the lobby. Bummer.
However, when using a direct ip connection it works nicely.
EXCEPT.
When you build a nato advanced airfield, there is a corrupt .wav, ruins the party for any Nato players.
When you build the advanced Black Widow fighter (Last one on the build list.) or whatever it is for Nato, it freezes up the game.
Mig 25 Recon is also broke, so is.. T-80.
I would think that our mod friends would at least test every unit before a release, no?

Here are some screen shots of the mod ...
I set it to the highest settings my system can handle ..
Most likely its wouldn't be playable at this setting in multiplayer
mode.

Is it just me, or does everyone get hundreds of texture errors when you try to build certain things?

Yes, I was getting alot of .bmp errors too. Most likely the Spring
engine is having a issue with the new units or buildings when
you try building them the first time.

That's gotta be the ugliest map I've ever seen.
Texture errors happen when the number of textures overload the capacity and therefore it can't load many textures.

way better than the SWTA troops. imo they look VERY well done for something which will normally be all but invisible coz of the zooming out

I never really liked World Domination...
UNTIL NOW!!!!!! Its much better in Spring, namely because it looks cooler and everything is better in spring. Also when I first played it with OTA, i was a little taken with TAFF and so though "Eh, okay, now BACK TO TAFF!"
But now i can appreciate your great mod!
