Testing!

New release, new bugs. Why always bugs?

Truth is, we can't blame the underwaged :P , overloaded dev team. They simply don't have the resources to test everything.

So, I suggest we players set up some schedule, say, weekly games at saturdays 8 pm GMT, when we log on to the test server (taspringmaster.servegame.com:8300) and play a few games. Gameplay would be completely normal, all you need is to download the latest prerelease version of spring. Join #playtest in main server for more info!

Who knows, we might get some top quality games, a little different from the avarage DSD...

The point would be, obviously, to help the dev team by finding bugs. We would find them anyway in normal spring, only much later and they would haunt us longer. ~~

Anyone intrested? What time would be best time and which mod(s) would you like to play?

I'm good for 8:00 GMT Saturdays. (a little later couldn't hurt either) Sunday would also be good.

I am kinda partial to CA, but I enjoy lots of different mods/games.

This would also help Game-Devs ensure content is compatible with new releases.

good idea. most efficient way of testing would be latest BA on DSD, that way we could catch 99% of the possibly upcoming errors

suggestions for next testing session - debug sync errors.

http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Debugging_sync_errors

get a syncdebug-enabled build in #buildserv - !rebuild profile=syncdebug

Help support multiple engine versions and i can extend SD to update engines on demand - we can then simply have stable/test engine versions just like CA has.

hello! are you guys still alive? just a kind reminder that we could still use some testing games, even if none of the devs is around.
